I promise I’ll read your message and respond ASAP, but please remember that, in addition to being a blogger & a content creator, I am also a homeschooling mom (and a bunch of other titles). While you are reading this very sentence, it’s likely that I’m either in the middle of helping a child with an assignment (for my own sake, I hope I’m not in the depths of multiplication hell), driving “just” over the speed limit on my way to a homeschool get together of some sort, or making dinner. Or sleeping.

To help make this easier for all of us, I’m going to break this page up into sections. First, I’ll share some details about That Homeschool Family (more than the “about” page currently shares) and why the blog (and my family!) is so awesome and should be a part of your marketing plan, and then I’ll share some details about the services I can offer.
That Homeschool Family…The 5 Ws
WHO is in That Homeschool Family?
That Homeschool Family is made up of myself (Elizabeth), my husband, and our two boys, ages 9 & 11.
I’m a former special education teacher turned homeschooling mom to my two boys. I attended Rowan University, graduated with honors in 2006, and received my special education degree. I taught for 5 years before resigning to become a stay at home mom. I dabbled in a few small businesses before entering the wild world of blogging. I built and grew my first blog into a popular resource for local families by providing local reviews of family-friendly restaurants, attractions, and more. The events of 2020 required me to pivot from that blog and subject matter. As a result, That Homeschool Family was born.
My husband works a 9-5 job in corporate finance and is an incredibly supportive homeschool husband and dad.
My two boys are some of the sweetest & funniest kids I’ve ever met. Yes, I know I’m biased, but they’re that awesome. They both attended public school until 2020 when they were pulled from 3rd grade and Kindergarten.
WHAT is That Homeschool Family?
Technically, my family and & I are That Homeschool Family, but it’s also the name of my blog and associated social media accounts.
That Homeschool Family is a resource for both families considering homeschooling and families currently homeschooling their child(ren). Through the main website and social media accounts, That Homeschool Family provides educational resources such as curriculum reviews, printable educational materials, community, encouragement, and more. All of the resources and content associated with That Homeschool Family reinforce the belief that “learning should be meaningful, memorable, and fun.”
WHEN is That Homeschool Family?
What does “when is That Homeschool Family” supposed to even mean? It’s part of the “5 Ws,” so I couldn’t exactly exclude it, so we’re going to go with “When is That Homeschool Family open to partnering?”
My answer? Right now. I’ve been partnering with a number of educational companies to provide reviews and since 2021 and am always open to new projects!
WHERE is That Homeschool Family?
That Homeschool Family is currently based in South Jersey, about 15 minutes over the bridge from Philadelphia, PA. Since we love & appreciate new experiences, though, we are always game for some travel! The entire family has current passports and has visited a number of Caribbean islands so far and has plans to visit Canada in the near future.
WHY That Homeschool Family?
That Homeschool Family was started for a number of reasons. A lifetime entrepreneur, I needed a creative outlet and something to “call my own” as a busy homeschooling mom. Because I felt the need to cease publishing my original blog (Remember…the world was shut down. It’s near impossible to review local attractions when they’re all closed), launching a homeschooling blog just felt right.
I also publish That Homeschool Family in an effort to be a “real” person homeschooling parents can relate to and trust. I am far from perfect, never thought I’d be homeschooling my kids, and am open to sharing my experiences and life.

Currently, all of the articles on That Homeschool Family are written by me, myself, and I. I have not yet offered the opportunity for other bloggers to guest post on the blog, but, if you are a credible source and would like to submit a homeschooling-related article, I could be open to it. You won’t see “Instagram Perfect” photos or filters being used on our accounts. Life (and homeschooling!) is far from being 100% clean, color-coordinated, and blemish free. When you see posts and articles from That Homeschool Family, you see a REAL representation of our family and our adventures.
HONEST
When sharing a resource or tip with our readers, if I happen to have a concern or such, I’m going to share my honest opinion. Yes, one goal of this blog is to help bring an income into my family, but it’s also meant to create a homeschooling community that my readers can trust.
QUALITY
That Homeschool Family values quality over quantity. We may not have millions of followers, but our followers are true followers. We do not purchase followers or swap “follow for follow” with others on social media to appear to increase our followers. Interaction on social media posts are genuine.
READY FOR ADVENTURE!
We tend to follow the eclectic & unschooling “versions” of homeschooling. We are involved in a number of social homeschooling groups (co-ops and drop-off classes), but do the majority of our activities either through hands-on lessons at home or through travel. We firmly believe that “learning should be meaningful, memorable, and fun” and live that through our daily life.
HOMESCHOOLING
Just in case the obvious hasn’t been made obvious enough, we are currently a homeschooling, worldschooling family. I publish this homeschool blog in an effort to provide community and support to fellow homeschoolers when I am not actively homeschooling (often in the afternoon and at night).
