Homeschooling gives parents the freedom to provide our children with a completely customized education, but that freedom can also come with pressure and stress…and a bunch of frustration. We’re not just teaching, we’re planning, organizing, assessing, and constantly searching for resources that’ll actually work for our kids. How do we know which resources to include? How do we know that they’re actually quality and not just something new & fancy sounding that caught our attention?

Let me help you out a bit! Between my background as as a special education teacher, my experience homeschooling my two boys (we’re starting high school next year – can you believe it?!), and my time spent reviewing a variety of homeschool curriculum and resources, I’ve come to know a thing or two when it comes to choosing quality homeschool tools. Trust me on this – the Education.com Premium Membership is definitely worth including in your arsenal of homeschooling material.

Let’s take a look at my favorite parts of Education.com, shall we? I’ll share the resources I love and, of course, a pretty sweet opportunity to save on your Education.com Premium Membership!

A Stand Out Resource for K-8 Education

One of the biggest advantages to having an Education.com Premium Membership is its flexibility. Whether you’re homeschooling a 2nd grader that could use some help mastering addition and subtraction or a 7th grader who would benefit from some extra reading comprehension activities, Education.com has you covered.

Maybe your child is itching to do some craft activities after completing their lessons, but you really don’t have the time to scour the internet for a little to no-prep activity for them? Maybe you have a child that loves video games and you’re looking for a way to quench that “need” for gaming with something educational? Education.com STILL has you covered!

I’m telling you – Education.com is about to be one of your homeschooling BFFs! A Premium Membership with Education.com includes access to over 39,000 learning resources like:

  • printable worksheets for Pre-K through 8th grade
  • lesson plans (what a huge help!)
  • interactive games
  • hands-on activities

Furthermore, all the resources within the Education.com Premium Membership are aligned with current educational standards & best teaching practices. These aren’t your run-of-the-mill educational tools, my friends – Education.com is awesome enough that they provide learning resources in over 20 countries and six continents. I’d say you could even turn that statistic into a geography lesson!

In fact, Education.com is such a quality, trusted resource in k-8 education that a reported 10,000 new members join their membership every.single.day.

Incredible, right?

Now that you’ve got the basic run-down of this resource, let me tell you one of my favorite perks of having an Education.com Premium Membership.

easy ways to supplement your k-8 homeschool from that homeschool family

No-Prep Worksheets & Packets

You guys, I’m a busy, exhausted mom. Plain & simple, as much as I’d love to have the time to peruse website after website for printable activities for my kids, that doesn’t really make sense. Not only would that be a total waste of my time, but there’s absolutely no need to do that…especially when I’ve got Education.com on my side.

Why printables, though? In between having the majority of their homeschooling lessons be online and then spending time playing video games during free time (not gonna lie – the entire family plays video games together!), my kids have been spending a lot of time in front of a screen.

Since we’ve moved twice in the past three years, it was easier for us to keep most of their lessons online…fewer books and such to lose track of in moving boxes, you know? But now that we’re finally settled in our Florida home, with no plans to move for many, many years, we’re making the switch back to a consistent book-based homeschool experience.

The past few years, though, my kids have absolutely enjoyed the worksheets & themed packets from our Education.com Premium Membership. Not only have studies shown that “writing by hand, as opposed to using a keyboard, enhances learning and memory” (no surprise to us Elder Millennials, right?).

One of my favorite ways to use my Education.com membership is to create my own activity packet. From the website, I’ll usually just select the grade level or subject for the packet and then select worksheets…one by one…to be part of a educational packet. I literally just click each worksheet I want to include – it’s super easy. Then, once I have selected everything I want to include, I click the pull-down tab on the top right corner of the website, select “print all” and they all start printing my own custom worksheet packet!

While my boys do enjoy the eclectic packets I create for them, Education.com often takes the fun a step further by curating fun, seasonal packets…like the Spring Break packets you can see in my TikTok video below! Sometimes I won’t realize there’s a seasonal packet in time to complete it before the theme/holiday, so I’ll just tell the boys it’s meant for a Spring BREAK from screens. Get it?!
