One of my favorite things about Typesy is how well it fits into our unpredictable homeschool days. On days when we stay home, it’s super easy to complete a lesson. On days when we’re out & about or not feeling so great, it’s super easy to complete a lesson later in the day or even “just” put it off until the next day. Unlike so many other online homeschool programs, my kids aren’t penalized for not adhering to a rigid schedule. It’s perfect for families in need of flexibility!

• Self-Paced Lessons: each day, my kids are able to log into their own account and continue their progress from where they left off. If they missed a day, there’s no issue. If they worked “ahead,” there’s no issue!
• Multiple Student Accounts: Typesy Homeschool currently offers homeschool accounts allowing up to 10 children, making this a cost-effective option for families with multiple children. Even better? Each child’s work is tracked separately and easily accessible in the parent dashboard. Speaking of which…
• Easy Parent Dashboard: assigning typing practice is super easy! I’m able to assign curriculum sets per child (one of my kids is working on 6th grade standards and the other is working on 8th grade), and can see information like time spent practicing, accuracy rates, skills in need of improvement and more, all in one spot.

Why My Kids (and I) Love the Typesy Homeschool Curriculum

It should be pretty obvious that I’m a fan of Typesy Homeschool by now. I honestly wish we had started with Typesy from the get-go instead of messing around with other programs. We’ve tried free typing programs only to have the kids quickly exhaust the lessons without having reached a basic level of typing proficiency. We’ve tried typing programs that were included with the purchase of other online curriculums only to have the kids be absolutely bored out of their minds and complain about having to complete typing practice.

Homeschooling can already be pretty pricey and I guess I had been avoiding Typesy because I didn’t want to pay for another subscription. You know what, though? I never really took the time to figure out what the Typesy subscription included…and now that I know, I totally wish we had just went with them from the beginning.

Currently, Typesy is not a yearly subscription, but rather subscription gives members 5 years of access to the typing programs. What?! And that subscription is not going to break the bank either: a family with up to 4 kids can have access to Typesy Homeschool for 5 years…get this…for a little more than $1 per month.

Of course, the membership payment is required upfront but, when divided into 60 (5 years = 60 months), it ends up being just over $1 per month. Unbelievable, right? And, if for some reason your kids don’t end up progressing within the first 12 months, Typesy will refund the purchase price PLUS give you an additional $50 – that’s how much they believe in their product.

Anyways, enough about me, my kids love the Typesy Homeschool Curriculum because:

• 11-year-old: “I like when I can go on my profile, see a keyboard image, and see which keys I need improvement on and which keys I’m good at typing. I getting pets as rewards because they help me get more points. I also like being able to learn different facts when learning how to type.”
• 13-year-old: “I like how Typesy helps me memorize where the different keys are with the on-screen keyboard. I really like playing the games because they’re fun and don’t feel like work.”
